About Emily Tirrell

SHORT BIOGRAPHY
Emily Tirrell is currently a doctoral student with the Virginia Tech Translational Biology, Medicine, and Health (TBMH) PhD program. She holds a B.S. from Virginia Tech in both Biological Sciences and Clinical Neuroscience. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, snowboarding, and volunteering within the Blacksburg community.
RESEARCH INTERESTS
Emily's research goal is to investigate changes in peripheral nerve integrity and sensorimotor control post stroke and to use her research findings to improve current rehabilitation strategies for the stroke population.
