About Polina

Short Biography

Polina Cherepanova is currently an undergraduate student at the Northwestern University Department of Biological Sciences. She is planning on obtaining a B.S. in biological sciences, with a possible minor in biotechnology and biochemical engineering or computer science. Polina is a recipient of the Northwestern Summer Undergraduate Research Grant (SURG) and Undergraduate Research Assistant Program Fellow. She attended high school in Evanston, IL and previously held a summer lab internship at the Northwestern University Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering. In her free time, she enjoys art, rhythmic gymnastics, and engaging with Women in STEM Outreach Organizations.

Research Interests

In the future, Polina aims to work towards an MD/PhD and become a medical researcher. Within the RSC Lab, she is focusing on the research areas of Sensorimotor Control in Adults and Individuals with Stroke.
