About Eric


Eric McDougal is currently a Northwestern undergraduate student pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering with a minor in Business Institutions. After graduation, he intends to enter the wireless and telecommunications industry as an engineering salesman. Eric is a recipient of a grant from the Undergraduate Research Assistant Program. During the summer of 2020, he worked as a fellow for the SmartTree division of Northwestern's Engineers for a Sustainable World chapter, conducting electric system analysis and design for the future construction of an off-grid, solar-powered, charging station. In addition to being the electrical team lead of SmartTree, Eric is a member of NU Solar's Telemetry team, the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, and co-captain on Northwestern's club water polo team. Eric enjoys spending his free time swimming, running, biking, and surfing.

Research Interests

Within the RSC Lab, Eric is focusing on the research area of developing an electromechanical tactile stimulator device.
