About Ahalya

Short Biography

Ahalya Mandana is currently a Research Engineer at the Northwestern University Department of Physical Therapy and Human Movement Sciences (NUPTHMS). She completed a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering at M. S. Ramaiah Institute of Technology in Bangalore, India. After that, she completed a Master of Science in Robotics degree at Northwestern University, before joining NUPTHMS as a Research Engineer. Her role includes software and hardware development for robotic devices that are used for stroke rehabilitation. In her free time, Ahalya enjoys digital art, writing, and photography.

Research Interests

As a robotics engineer with a background in electrical engineering, Ahalya's goal is to contribute her technical skills to various robotics research projects. She also aims to learn about various aspects of neuroscience that are new to her, from the multidisciplinary teams that she works with at NUPTHMS. Within the RSC Lab, she actively contributes to all research areas.
